The Beast That Killed Bunny Downe - Nudesploitation Vol. 1

'Nudesploitation Vol. 1' is a 7-track harsh noise wall album made with film samples and generated noise. Initially it was going to follow a theme, but one thing lead to another, and I ended up no longer following a theme. Couldn't be bothered to think of a new name though.

Got my inspiration for this one from a documentary about The Rita. Seeing how he made one of his tracks, I decided to experiment with layering. While doing that, I started messing with generated noise, which lead to building tracks from a wall of white, pink or brownian noise, and no samples. I think it turned out quite well.

In case you aren't aware, 'Nudesploitation' is the term I use to refer to the exploitation films of the 1960s which took advantage of the new rules and started showing a lot of nudity. I also use the term 'Nudistploitation' for the films which used naturism/nudism as a way of showing a lot of nudity. I sort of have an obsession with films of this genre, and so I sample them quite often. Also where the artist name comes from. The Beast That Killed Bunny Downe refers to the Barry Mahon film 'The Beast That Killed Women', where a beast (Barry in a gorilla suit) goes on a small rampage in a nudist club. From all that I can tell, only one woman is actually killed, and that woman was played by Bunny Downe. Horror fans may know Bunny as being the writer of 'Blood Feast'.
